Phoenix Art Museum - 1625 North Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85004. The museum is the largest museum for visual art in the southwest United States (~285,000 square feet). It displays international exhibitions alongside its comprehensive collection of more than 18,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, and fashion design.
Japanese Friendship Garden - RoHoEn - 1125 N. 3rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85003 - Japanese Garden in the heart of Phoenix.
Children’s Museum - 215 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85034 - Designed for children ages birth to 10, the museum has over 48,000 square feet of space where children can have fun.
Arizona Science Center - 600 E Washington St. Home to over 350 permanent hands-on exhibits, the Center provides shows in the Dorrance Planetarium and in a five-story, giant screen IMAX Theater.

Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) - 4725 E Mayo Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85050 - MIM has a collection of more than 8,000 instruments from more than 200 world countries. Its galleries reflect the rich diversity and history of many world cultures.
Taliesin West - Frank Lloyd Wright - 12621 N Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85259 - UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taliesin West was Wright’s winter home and desert laboratory.
ASU Art Museum at the Nelson Fine Arts Center - Founded in 1950, ASU Art Museum has grown over the years to become a leading contemporary art museum, showing 20th century and contemporary ceramics, craft and prints, and drawings.
Pueblo Grande Museum - 4619 E Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85034 - Pueblo Grande Museum is located on a 1,500-year-old archeological site once inhabited by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert people. The museum is the largest preserved archeological site within Phoenix.
Desert Botanical Gardens - 1201 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85008 - 140 acres with more than 50,000 plant displays and ~ 4,500 species.
Phoenix Zoo - 455 North Galvin Parkway Phoenix, AZ 85008 - The zoo has over 1,400 animals on display and contains 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of walking trails. It is divided into four main themed areas: The Arizona Trail, the Africa Trail, the Tropics Trail, and the Children's Trail, which includes a petting zoo.
South Mountain Park & Preserve - The park consists of three mountain ranges and boasts more than 50 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. The park provides an unobstructed panoramic view of the Valley.
Piestewa Peak - Hiking the Piestewa Peak Summit Trail (elevation gain = 1,208 feet (368 m)) takes from 25 to 60 minutes in fair weather.
Lookout Mountain Preserve - Though lower in elevation than nearby summits, the preserve offers scenic views and trails for hiking and mountain biking.
North Mountain and Shaw Butte Preserves - The mountains offer a wide array of trail options for hikers of all abilities.
Papago Park -625 N Galvin Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85008, very light hiking to climb “hole in the rock.” Close to Phoenix Zoo and botanical gardens.
Camelback Mountain - With an elevation of 2,704 feet, Camelback Mountain is located in the middle of the Valley and offers nice views of Phoenix. There are 2 hiking trails, Echo Canyon and Cholla. Both trails are difficult. Echo Canyon is steeper and Cholla is longer.
